43 Seniors and 26 Juniors turned out for this years Cowling Gala, this year held in conjunction with the Queens Platinum Jubilee celebrations. The winner was Julian Hood of Skipton AC in a time of 20:25 who fittingly receives the Coronation Cup. The cup was originally presented at the Gala in 1953, but may not have originally been for the fell race. The ladies winner was local lady Emma Hopkinson of Wharfedale Harriers who also broke the long standing ladies record, setting a new time of 21.32
