Overnight rain turned what had been a relatively dry course into raging becks and slip sliding mud. At least for the seniors the rain dissipated and as the race set off the seniors were met with a stunning rainbow. The strong southerly breeze however made the outward course more challenging.
Race winner was Tom Adams of Ilkley Harriers in 45.29 just under 1 minute ahead of Robin Howie of Wharfedale in 46.28.
First Lady was Ailish Graham of Wharfedale in 53.58, ahead of Emma Clayton of Leeds City in 55.28.
Mens team winners were Wharfedale Harriers, with Todmorden claiming the Ladies team prize.
